Dear Friends of 5 Gyres,
Let's celebrate Earth Month, together! When we think about the Earth, we envision powerful rivers and rugged mountains, blue oceans and vast deserts. Our national parks represent all of this.
That's why we're launching our Plastic-Free Parks project on April 22 this year, celebrating Earth Day AND the start of National Parks Week!
We have some exciting changes this year, including a new mobile app, more in-person activations, and fresh gear. We hope you'll join the national effort to keep our parks plastic-free!

Introducing the Gyrenauts
Many years ago, a group of activists sailed through all five great oceanic gyres to understand what, where, and how plastic pollution was affecting our oceans. These adventurers became known as the Gyrenauts.
We're launching a Web3 project with real-world impact! Follow Gyrenauts on Twitter or join the Discord community to learn more.

Change Starts with Community
We're excited to work with two incredible organizations, Culture of Cleanliness and Winyah Rivers Alliance, to implement a TrashBlitz in their region as part of our new Community Fund! Applications will reopen for additional groups in 2024.
