Friend —

Elissa is a data person, so believe us when we say she pores over the stats for our campaign. That includes this morning, when we met to go over our fundraising numbers. Here is where we stand ahead of our very real FEC public fundraising deadline in two weeks.

We’ve set ambitious goals for ourselves, including raising $200,000 in online dollars from emails like this in June. As a team, we go back and look at fundraising from prior quarters and make our best estimation of what we can raise this quarter.

And while we still have a little over two weeks until our deadline, our team is working to ensure that we are pacing along where we need to be to finish this quarter in the strongest position possible.

Here’s why: Right now, our race is being watched as one of the most likely to flip, it’s clear that National Republicans are monitoring this race closely, trying to map out their strategy to win this race. They’re polling different GOP candidates and zeroing in on the strongest candidate to make this seat competitive.

Elissa doesn’t take a dime of corporate PAC money, which means we are going to rely a lot on folks like you to pitch in $5 here and $10 there to help us go head-to-head with National Republicans and their self-funding candidates.

That means when there are big (and real) deadlines like the public reporting deadline at the end of this month, we’ll be reaching out a little more to ask for your help. And today is one of those days:

Will you please make a contribution to our Senate campaign today? We need to put up a strong number on this FEC report to show we have the grassroots strength to be a real contender in this race.
