States with AI Regulations
• TX - Enacted in 2019 - criminalized deep fakes within 30 days of election
• MN - Enacted in 2023 and effective August 1, 2023 - criminalizes deep fakes within 90 days of elections
• WA - Enacted in 2023 and effective July 23, 2023 - Prohibits deep fakes without disclaimers and creates a path for lawsuits
