The Iowa Legislature is well underway and numerous civil liberties and civil rights already are at stake. Legislators have already introduced 13 anti-LGBTQ bills, a constitutional amendment to ban abortion, and an anti-immigrant "show me your papers" type bill.
So it's more important than ever that you do what you can to shape the conversation. Next week, you'll have two important opportunities at the statehouse.
