We have some big news: A new poll shows that a potential rematch between President Biden and Donald Trump is a statistical dead-heat amongst Michigan voters:

President Biden: 46%
Donald Trump: 45%

This poll is yet another proof point that the path to keeping the White House blue and protecting the Senate majority runs through Michigan.

This poll highlights the difficulty we will face running this race in a notorious swing state during a presidential election year. And despite Democrats’ success last year, Michigan is a swing state, and we know it can flip red under the right conditions.

In addition to this latest data about the presidential race, two recent public polls have shown our race to be a statistical dead-heat, with a significant portion of voters undecided.
We use polls like this to guide our decisions about TV ads, digital outreach, hiring staff early, and building a ground-game that meets folks where they are – and this news makes all of that work much more urgent.

This is why the most important time to donate is now: Early support helps us be strategic and intentional about how we’re reaching voters. And with one – or more – credible Republican opponents looking to launch their campaigns in the coming weeks, every dollar we raise before they announce gives us a competitive advantage.
