Growing up, a fraudster caused our family's business to go bankrupt. We lost our home, said goodbye to many of our possessions, had to start from scratch. I even had to sell my dollhouse.
Despite everything we lost, whenever something seemed insurmountable, my parents always told us, “Push on.”
And push on, we did. In addition to raising me and my siblings, my parents started a nonprofit to educate youth on opportunities in the Maritime industry and fostered 5 children.
From my grandmother’s involvement with the NAACP to her parents’ commitment to enhancing the workforce skills of Delaware residents, I have always been inspired by my family.
But to make a real difference for workers in Congress, I need a strong coalition of grassroots support. That’s why, as we look forward to celebrating this Labor Day, I’m humbly asking for you to chip in whatever you’re able to our campaign. >> |
John, your support helps us amplify the voices of working families, advocate for policies that promote economic fairness, and build a brighter future for Delaware. Thank you.
