At last week’s Republican presidential debate, the moderator asked a simple question: Do you believe human behavior is causing climate change?

Pretty straightforward, right? Given the overwhelming scientific consensus, you’d think this would be an easy one for them to answer.

But here’s what happened: almost every candidate on that stage denied the reality of climate change, calling it a “hoax” or pivoting to attack Joe Biden.

Honestly, it’s disappointing, but it’s not surprising. And for me, it only emphasizes how important it is that Democrats hold the Senate and re-elect Joe Biden in 2024.

Because if the GOP wins, they will immediately start rolling back the progress we’ve made in California and across the country fighting the climate crisis.

That’s why I’m doing everything I can to stop that from happening, including traveling the country to support Senate Democrats and President Biden.

But here is the truth: in order to make sure we win, we need all hands on deck. And so I’m asking you to stand up and get involved.
