In just a minute, we're going to ask you to make a contribution to Alex Padilla ahead of the official FEC deadline at the end of this month. But first, we wanted to take this chance to explain exactly why this deadline is so important to our effort to hold the Senate for Democrats in 2024.

Every three months, the Federal Election Commission requires every candidate for federal office — from the House of Representatives all the way to President Biden — to file detailed reports laying out how much money they’ve raised and from which sources.

The next quarterly deadline is at the end of this month, and Alex will be required to file a report.

And now that Alex is Vice-Chair of the DSCC and playing an important role in our fight to hold the Senate for Democrats, there are going to be a lot of eyes on our fundraising report.

If our report has lots of donors on it, it’s a sign that Democrats are fired up and ready to hold the Senate.

But if we fall short, and file a lackluster report, that’s a signal to Mitch McConnell and the GOP that Democrats are more vulnerable.

With so many eyes on us, we can’t afford to come up short. Not with control of the Senate at stake. So please:
