Hey, it’s Alex. Like you, I’ve been watching the chaos unfolding in the House of Representatives. And here’s the conclusion I’ve come to:


Today’s GOP cannot be trusted to govern in the best interests of the American people.


We’re talking about a political party in which several members have seriously suggested that they’d support Donald Trump — who encouraged a violent mob to storm the Capitol — to serve as Speaker of the House.


All this at a time in which they should be focusing on the fact that there’s another government shutdown looming in just over a month. We’re seeing what happens when Republicans are in charge, and it’s clear that the American people deserve better than this.


That’s why, as Vice-Chair of the DSCC, I’m working hard to support my colleagues in key races across the country so we can hold onto our Democratic majority in the Senate.


Because while Republicans are locked in infighting and disarray, Democrats are united in our commitment to deliver results for the American people.


But in order to do that, and really make progress on the problems facing our country, we’ve got to hold onto our majority and keep the GOP out of power.


It’s not going to be easy — we’re defending almost twice as many seats as the GOP, including in states like Ohio and Montana that voted for Donald Trump. But I know that as long as enough people like you step up and get involved, and we all do our part, then we can accomplish anything together.


Will you please make a contribution to help hold the Senate majority for Democrats? We can’t afford to let the GOP take control and bring the same infighting and chaos from the House to the Senate.
