Dear John, I am so excited to share our 2023 annual report with you! You can find it here on our website. This was a banner year for Alabama Arise and Alabama Arise Action. Because of your support, Arise grew our policy analysis, statewide organizing and citizen advocacy in 2023. We also made significant progress on our long-term policy goals. I know our board, staff and membership join me in expressing gratitude for your continued partnership. Together, we advanced dignity, equity and justice for every Alabamian this year. With your support, we: - Cut the state grocery tax in half!
- Protected Alabamians' health coverage during the Medicaid unwinding period.
- Diversified our membership, with data showing Arise met our short-term goal of increasing participation from members with low incomes.
