350MKE Fridays for Future
Fridays from 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Chase & Wells Fargo Banks
Many banks (including Chase and Wells Fargo) are lending their depositor's money to fossil fuel companies to develop new fossil fuel production.
We want more people to be aware of this and hopefully change their bank or talk to the bank management!
We get honks and thumbs up from drivers and passersby. Some people stop and have a chat about what the banks are doing, or ask, "What is fossil fuel ([link removed]) ?"
We're alternating between two Chase Bank locations.

350 Wisconsin Meeting
Monday, November 6, 7pm
Climate Safe Pensions for Wisconsin:
Divest from Fossil Fuels!
Please join us on Monday, November 6, to learn about Climate Safe Pensions for Wisconsin ([link removed]) . Members of this group are working to get the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB) to move the state retirement system out of financially risky and environmentally irresponsible fossil fuel investments.
Our speakers, Peter Knotek and Anne Steinberg, will share what they’ve learned while researching SWIB’s holdings, meeting with SWIB staff, talking with many other Wisconsin Retirement System members, and participating in the international pension divestment movement.
Pete Knotek joined Climate Safe Pensions for Wisconsin as a volunteer this year. He recently helped Racine Educators United take a position in favor of state pension divestment from fossil fuel corporations. He is an activist with the Racine Coalition for Peace and Justice, a group that has recently held several community events focused on environmental issues.
Anne Steinberg is a retired Wisconsin Technical College instructor who lives in Milwaukee. She helped start Climate Safe Pensions for Wisconsin when she realized her retirement savings in the Wisconsin Retirement System were invested in fossil fuel companies — including Enbridge.
