We're writing today to ask if you can make a $3 contribution to Elissa Slotkin's campaign for Senate before our October fundraising drive ends tomorrow at midnight.

Why $3 , specifically?

$3 because Michigan is going to be one of the most expensive and competitive Senate races of the cycle.

$3 because, as of this month, there are two credible Republican opponents in this race, and big-money donors are preparing to throw their full force behind the eventual nominee as they try to flip this seat red.

$3 because the DeVos family has already contributed $46,200 to one of our Republican opponents – and we know that more is on the way.

$3 because, although we’re not facing a real FEC deadline this month, we are closely tracking our fundraising progress to ensure we have the resources to win down the line. We use our internal benchmarks to guide key strategic decision-making – and that’s only possible when we’re staying on target with our monthly goals.

$3 because Elissa doesn’t take corporate PAC money and is relying on individuals like you to chip in a few bucks at a time.

It may not seem like $3 can make a huge difference in one of the most competitive and expensive Senate races in the country, but by the time you get to this point in the email, a few folks have already made their donation.
