This week marked an important milestone in our path to Election Day 2024 — just one year to go!

We also saw Connecticut voters resoundingly call for change this Tuesday, as a blue wave swept Democrats to historic victories in local races across the state.

More than a dozen towns flipped from red to blue, while candidates of color, women, and LGBTQ+ candidates won key positions in our town halls and on our school boards — all paving the way for meaningful change in our communities.

Here in the 1st Congressional District, Democrats flipped the top offices in Colebrook, Cromwell, Newington, and Wethersfield, not to mention numerous victories down ballot.

While we should celebrate the progress we’ve made this week, we can’t let ourselves become complacent. MAGA extremists still hold power in the House and the threat of another Trump presidency continues to endanger the rights and freedoms we hold dear.

That’s why it’s critical that we mirror our recent success in 2024. We need to redouble our efforts to protect the values we hold dear here in CT and across the country.
