We must end the senseless cycle of violence in the Middle East by ending the policy of occupation and genocide. Join the growing movement to demand an end to all US military aid for Israel and to Free Palestine.

Locations and times of strikes: 

  • 185th and Aurora (shoreline) : 10am - 2pm

  • UWay : 10am -12pm (then they're going to a non-union store in Northgate to leaflet)

  • Redmond Retail : 8am -12pm

  • Roastery : 10am - 2pm

  • Seattle Center (right under the space needle) : 10am - 2pm

 

All hands on deck! Tomorrow, Thursday, (11/16) 100 Starbucks stores are going on STRIKE for Starbucks’ “Red Cup Day” - the single most profitable day of the year for Starbucks. In case you didn’t know, on Red Cup Day customers flood into stores for their red cups before they run out (Starbucks limits the number each store distributes), making it the busiest and most grueling day of the year for baristas.

Here in Seattle a number of stores will be joining the strike wave and Starbucks workers have asked for our assistance supporting the strikes.  Seattle DSA will be standing shoulder to shoulder with them on the picket line.

Homegrown workers have been on strike for over 2 weeks! Join Homegrown workers on the picket lines from 10-1 PM Saturday 11/11. These pickets are occurring daily as the strike continues but we’d like to encourage DSA members to turn out this day specifically.

In response to a worker leader’s unjust firing, her coworkers at the Redmond Homegrown have committed to go on ULP strike and stay out on pickets until she gets her job back.

If you have DSA or Union gear please wear it to show homegrown workers the labor movement and the socialist movement is behind them.
