John: A federal appeals court just delivered another devastating blow to the Voting Rights Act — barring citizens or civil rights groups from suing under the VRA.

Extreme judges and Republicans keep restricting access to the ballot box, all in the name of Donald Trump's false claims of election fraud in the 2020 election. Enough is enough.

I proudly voted the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act through the House to restore key provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. It stalled in the Senate, and it's clear the GOP is taking advantage.

If the federal appeals court's decision holds, it'll be even easier for Republican legislatures to pass voter suppression laws, disenfranchising Black, elderly, and minority voters and attacking our democratic institutions. We can't take these injustices sitting down.
