The end of the month has no official deadline. No FEC paperwork due. Don’t let anyone tell you different.

But campaigns are basically start-up organizations — we raise money over the span of 1-2 years, just so we have the support we need to reach new voters, hard-to-reach voters, and everyone in between. Campaigns end up spending the lion’s share of their resources in the last 3-5 months before the election, when they essentially shut down the start-up.

In order to do that effectively, you have to have a plan. And a plan has to have goals. Here on Team Slotkin, we have goals. Typically they are monthly goals, but we then further break that down into funds raised through emails, like this one, through texts, fundraising events, mail, etc.

So as this month comes to a close, we are all working to meet our monthly goal. This is where we hope you come in.

We're one of the few campaigns that will tell you that monthly deadlines aren’t real. There’s no make-or-break amount we need to raise before we file a report – that’s not until December 31. But we’d love your help meeting our November fundraising goals in order to stay on track toward our quarterly FEC deadlines.

If you are looking for a way to have the greatest impact on the success of this campaign, then we hope you'll consider making a donation to stand with Elissa Slotkin today.
