It’s officially that time of year – the lights are up, the sales have started, and the holiday season is in full swing. Earlier this week, my team and I visited a Michigan staple – Frankenmuth, a Bavarian-inspired town and the state’s largest Christmas store – where the holiday season happens all year round. We, of course, also had to stop for a famous chicken dinner at Bavarian Inn and got in a bit of shopping at Bronner’s. (if you know, you know).
But with all the festivities, something else happens around this time of year: Our fundraising starts to slow down as people go offline for the holidays. It’s hard to believe, but when our next FEC fundraising report happens, it will be on December 31 – New Year’s Eve. And after that, 2024 will be in full swing. Our campaign will be scaling up in big ways – hiring a lot more staff, attending even more events in every corner of the state, and eventually airing TV and digital ads across the state.
But before all of that can happen, we have some very real goals left to meet in 2023. To kick off the election year in the strongest possible way, we need to have a strong December ahead of our final FEC fundraising deadline of the year.
So if you’re starting to feel the holiday spirit, we’d love your help now to help us manage the holiday dip in fundraising in the last few weeks of the year. And your contribution of $3 will help us make the strategic decisions we need to kick off 2024 strong!
