Why we are 350: Scientists overwhelmingly agree that 350ppm CO2 is the upper limit to sustain life as humans have lived it. For more than 800,000 years atmospheric CO2 varied between roughly 180 to 280ppm ([link removed]) .
Earth passed 350ppm CO2 during 1988!

In 2016 and 2017, communities across the world protested in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux and Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) and the threat it posed to the Tribes' drinking water supply.
The Indigenous-led #DefundDAPL campaign was a major part of that, with grassroots activists around the country mobilizing to call out the banks funding the pipeline. Without #DefundDAPL, it’s unclear whether a coalition like Stop the Money Pipeline would even exist.
Now, we have a chance to help shutdown the Dakota Access Pipeline.

Following a 2021 court order, the Army Corps of Engineers is taking public comments on its recently released Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) on the pipeline. This is a huge opportunity to stand with Standing Rock and demand that this pipeline gets shut down.
There are two ways you can help.
1. Join the #NoDAPL Public Comment Writing Party ([link removed])
What: Online #NoDAPL public comment writing party with Indigenous Environmental Network and People vs Fossil Fuels. Join the call to be in community with fellow activists and get all the support you need to write a powerful public comment demanding that DAPL is shut down.
When: Thursday, December 7th at 11PT / 12 MT / 1 CT / 2ET
Where: Online. RSVP here. ([link removed])
2. Submit your public comment before Wednesday, December 13th
If you can’t make the Public Comment Writing Party, you can submit your own comment using this toolkit, talking points and guide ([link removed]) .
The Dakota Access Pipeline always was a critical fight for everyone who cares about Indigenous sovereignty and climate justice. In 2023, that’s as true as ever.
Let’s make sure we take this chance to ensure that the US government hears loud and clear one more time: #NoDAPL.
In Solidarity,
- the Stop the Money Pipeline team

GET INVOLVED
Join us for a virtual movie screening
We are partnering with the American Resiliency Project to host a movie screening of The Transformation Cannot Be Stopped on Wednesday, December 13, at 7 p.m. EST. Sign up for the movie screening ([link removed]) .
The film talks about how different industries — like utilities, automobiles, technology, and defense — can improve the aging power grid. It explains how we can make smart choices to better the power grid better by using distributed renewable energy generation and the development of an electric vehicle infrastructure.
After the film, there will be a live Q&A session with the filmmaker, Roger Sorkin. During the Q&A, you will have an opportunity to get your questions answered, live, and get a behind the scenes look at Roger's filming vision. Signing up is free, but donations are encouraged.

350MKE Fridays for Future
Fridays from 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Chase & Wells Fargo Banks
Many banks (including Chase and Wells Fargo) are lending their depositor's money to fossil fuel companies to develop new fossil fuel production.
We want more people to be aware of this and hopefully change their bank or talk to the bank management!
We get honks and thumbs up from drivers and passersby. Some people stop and have a chat about what the banks are doing, or ask, "What is fossil fuel ([link removed]) ?"
We're alternating between two Chase Bank locations.
