Today, I wanted to put some names and faces to a huge part of our fundraising: the small dollar donor. When I talk about building a team of grassroots supporters, this is what I mean:
Rohn in Lansing gave $5 this month. I’ve been his Member of Congress for four years. It has been such an honor to represent Lansing in the U.S. House of Representatives, and I am so grateful for the support of this community in my race for statewide office.
Ann in Benton Harbor contributed $35 back in August. I had just visited Benton Harbor. I’ve met voters there in a rented restaurant, and people are fired up about 2024. Thank you for your support!
Gerald from Detroit donated $100 last week. I don’t know him and don’t believe we’ve met, but I have loved getting to know voters in Detroit and spending so much time in the city.
It’s people like Rohn, Ann, Gerald, and you who make up the critical foundation of this campaign. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, it really is these $5, $35, $100 donations that make up the building blocks of our team – and help set the course for how early we can hire more staff, go up on TV, and do the critical work of reaching voters.

Thank you so much, today and every day.
