From my family to yours, I hope you’re having a joyful holiday season.

This marks 23 years since Yadira and I moved to San Francisco (her hometown!) and put down roots in the Excelsior.

I feel fortunate to live here, to be raising our kids here, and to have gotten to know and learn from so many San Franciscans over the years. The hard-working immigrants. The families who’ve lived here for generations. The elected leaders like Mayors Willie Brown and Gavin Newsom. Every person I have met has shaped my view of what this city can be.

Wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying time with your neighbors, friends, and loved ones – and recharging for an exciting year ahead.
