We’re writing with a big update: After years of hammering Trump, and even running against Trump, GOP Senate candidate Mike Rogers has shocked us by coming out today and endorsing Trump for President. It’s a Shakespearean turn for a man who prided himself as a so-called moderate.
For years, Mike Rogers tried to paint himself as someone who pushed back against Trump. He was a paid CNN commentator, doing repeated interviews critical of Trump. After he was fired by Trump’s transition team, he wrote op-eds condemning Trump’s refusal to accept the 2020 election, and was disgusted enough by Trump that he prepared to run for president AGAINST Trump.
Then, this morning, Mike Rogers endorsed Donald Trump for President of the United States in an op-ed in the Daily Caller, which you can click here to read.
Here's the truth: Mike Rogers is a political player who has seen the way the wind blows and sacrificed his integrity.
