We got some sobering news in Michigan: Nonpartisan political forecasters at Inside Elections just downgraded the Michigan Senate race from a “Lean Democrat” state for the 2024 elections to only “Tilt Democrat.”

We’re going to explain why this is specifically important to the Senate race, but first, we have to ask: Will you chip in $3 or any amount now to help us keep Michigan blue and defend the Senate majority in November?

Why is this downgrade important?

First, it confirms something Michiganders already knew, which is that Michigan is NOT a solidly blue state. The moment people sleep on Michigan and our previous successes, Democrats lose the state. We need to be doing everything we can right now to set us up for success on Election Day so we can protect the White House and defend the Senate.

Secondly, National Republicans also view Michigan as a key battleground state for both the presidential race and the Senate, which is why we’ve already seen two visits from Trump this election cycle, not including his rally in Michigan this upcoming weekend.

To that end, we know that millions of dollars from conservative megadonors and Super PACs is on the way to prop up our eventual opponent – setting up a battle royale here in Michigan, with control of both the White House and the Senate on the line. We’ve already seen over $1 million from a super PAC propping up one of our opponents, and we know that more is on the way.
