# [#]Aloha Friend,
Last week, Governor Josh Green celebrated the blessing and opening of the newly constructed Ka Malu Ko‘olau kauhale, or tiny home village, in Kaneohe — and today will announce the opening of Ho‘okahi Leo kauhale in Honolulu.
These new communities are part of Governor Green’s comprehensive plan to reduce homelessness across Hawaii.

Housing is healthcare, and this is truly the path forward for our state.”
Both new kauhale will provide welcoming, safe, and stable housing for the homeless — including restroom facilities, shower trailers, a laundry facility, daily meals, and 24/7 security.
Each kauhale functions like a small village — with residents depending on their own community for support, rather than solely on professional services.
Through projects like Ka Malu Ko’olau and Ho‘okahi Leo, Governor Green has a goal of reducing homelessness statewide by 50% in his first term in office.
If you support Josh’s efforts to reduce homelessness in Hawaii, please consider making a small donation today. [[link removed]]
As always, thank you for your support and for being part of Team Green.
Mahalo,
Team Green
