We were told that in order to get on the ballot via petitions, we would have to spend upwards of $400K and hire paid petitioners. Yet, we only spent $36K and collected just shy of 14,000 signatures. Meanwhile, Hickenlooper spent well over $400K to collect roughly the same.

We were able to do this because our Team has put together the largest grassroots movement Colorado has ever seen by reaching out to ALL voters, not just those who caucus, or those with robust donation histories. We are also proving that money alone cannot buy this election.
