Dear Patriot,

I am Joe Kent, your Republican candidate for Congress in Washington's 3rd District. I am also a Green Beret combat veteran and a Gold Star husband.

My life experiences mean that I have a lot to say about what is going on in America right now.

I have seen war firsthand, and I have lost my life partner in an entirely unnecessary way.

When I dream of America's future, I dream of a land that is safe and free for my children and yours.

And right now, all signs point to the destruction and deterioration of every aspect of our freedom, peace, and safety.

A big part of that destruction is being brought on by the fentanyl crisis that is creeping in through our southern border.

What I find really ironic about this is that my far-left opponent, Marie Perez, is patting herself on the shoulder for being a part of the "End Fentanyl" Act that she's trying to pass right now.

On one hand, she is finally acknowledging that our communities are being destroyed by Fentanyl.

And on the other hand, this bill is nothing but empty words and shallow solutions.

You see, Marie has apparently forgotten that she VOTED to let Fentanyl into our country in the first place.

She forgot that she said, "No one loses sleep over the southern border," as our neighbors were being killed as the result of her and Biden's policies!

Of course, now that it's the big election year, she's suddenly changing her tune and acting tough on Fentanyl - BUT REFUSES TO SECURE THE BORDER.

This is completely illogical and will not fool Washingtonians for much longer. But that does not mean Marie won't keep trying to spin her tales and weave her lies.

But I am clear-eyed and am focused ever ahead to our future. And our future is grim if we subscribe to the America of Marie and Biden's dreams.
