Friend – Our 22-member statewide board plays an important role in making sure the ACLU of Iowa operates in a focused, ethical, and financially responsible way that stays true to the principles established back in 1935 when the ACLU of Iowa was established. We strive for a board that reflects the diversity found all across our state. We're very pleased to introduce five new faces on the board: Jessica CamachoJessica is a civil rights investigator with the City of Cedar Rapids. AM RacilaAM conducts postdoctoral research at the Iowa City VA Medical Center and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Stacey RoblesStacey is the DEI Program Manager for the Greater Des Moines Partnership. Megan RoosMegan is the vice president and general counsel for an Orange City agricultural business. Maura StrassbergMaura is a recently retired emeritus professor at Drake University Law School. Read more about each new board member. Please join us in welcoming them to the board and thanking them for being generous with their time and expertise as we continue our work to help our state live up to its motto: Our Liberties We Prize and Our Rights We Will Maintain. With appreciation, Mark Stringer |
