Hi everyone, I wish I didn’t have to ask you to give today, but in an attempt to put their hands on the scale, the Tories changed the laws to make certain this would be the most expensive election in UK history.

[[link removed]]John xxxxxx, I wish I didn’t have to ask you to give
today, but in an attempt to put their hands on the scale, the Tories changed the
laws to make certain this would be the most expensive election in UK history.

That’s why I’ve given our team a goal to raise £1,000,000 by polling day to fund
this campaign. And I let you all know that if you’re ready to help us across the finish line,
you can click here to add your donation.

Campaigns have always been expensive — especially when we’re up against the deep
pockets of the Tories and their cronies. And this time around, they nearly
doubled the spending limits because they knew that would give them an advantage.
That is how desperate they are to cling onto power.

It takes an enormous amount of resources to run a campaign that refuses to back
down. And that’s the campaign we’re running.

I can say with pride that this team has built the most impressive operation in
the history of our party — with more voter contacts than ever before. We made a conscious effort to
organise everywhere and with a message of change that would speak to the hopes
and needs of working families.

I wish what we’d already raised would be enough to guarantee an end to the 14
years of Tory chaos. But this isn’t the case and we aren’t taking anything for
granted. We know that we still have to raise more money because the Tories have
been clear: they will open their war chest in the closing hours of this election.

So if we want to elect a Labour government and bring change, then we need to
reach our £1 million goal. The only chance we have to get there is by asking for
more donations.

Will you make your first online contribution to Labour's general election fund
to give us the resources to win in 4 days? The Tories may have deep pockets, but
they’re no match for what we can accomplish together.

If you help us win, we will be able to deliver change with a Labour government
