Sen. Katie Britt’s IVF Protection Act introduced in U.S. House

In May, U.S. Senators Katie Britt and Ted Cruz (R-TX) i
<[link removed]>
ntroduced the IVF Protection Act, which has since been blocked by Senate
<[link removed]>
Democrats who wield the power of the majority in the upper chamber. However,
the U.S. House of Representatives will now consider the measure.



U.S. Reps. Scott Perry (R-PA) and Nancy Mace (R-SC) announced they’re
introducing and advocating for companion legislation to Britt and Cruz’s bill.



According to Britt, the bill does not compel any person or organization to
provide IVF services, and it permits states to implement health and safety
standards regarding the practice of IVF. Under the language of the legislation,
states would be ineligible to receive Medicaid funding if they banned access to
IVF. The senators led a joint statement supporting full access to IVF signed by
every Republican in the Senate.

Senator Katie Britt Responds to Supreme Court’s Ruling on Presidential Immunity

U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) released a statement this week in response
to the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity. The ruling
addresses the extent to which a sitting president is protected from legal
actions pertaining to their official duties.



“Today’s decision by the Supreme Court helps to ensure that the leader of the
free world can effectively execute the duties of their office without fear of
retribution from political prosecutions, particularly as it relates to a
President’s core constitutional powers and other official acts,” said Senator
Britt. “The Court’s decision upholds and protects America’s foundational system
of separated powers and checks and balances.”



Senator Britt also expressed concern over what she perceives as a partisan
effort to undermine the judiciary. “Democrats’ continued partisan campaign to
delegitimize the Supreme Court is dangerous, irresponsible, and undermines our
constitutional republic,” she added.

spending

Senator Katie Britt is talking about IVF protection, border security, and
infrastructure spending. Following the Alabama Supreme Court ruling on Invitro
Fertilization, Sen. Britt says it left uncertainty for Alabama families. Sen.
Britt criticized how the Biden Administration has handled border security. One
problem, in particular, she says is the transportation of fentanyl into the
country and the deadly impact it has left on the U.S.
