He’s been a teammate to every Minnesotan as Governor: He made school lunches free in his state, eased the burden on low-income households, and ensured that abortion rights remained protected after Roe v. After my career in the NFL, I took a similar path by running for the State Senate when Republicans tried to ban abortion in Virginia. I was proud to flip the seat from red to blue and be the tie-breaking vote to stop them.
