One of the biggest differences between running a campaign and playing football is you can’t stop the clock in politics. That’s why we must hit every fundraising goal to get our message out so voters know what’s on the line for Virginia.

We can’t stop the clock on the campaign trail, but I’ve watched as my Republican colleagues try to turn it back in the Senate — back to a time before women had the right to choose what they can and can’t do with their bodies. Back to a time when voting was a privilege rather than a right guaranteed to all. And back to a time when people who look like me were excluded from the promise of America.

My response is to quote Kamala Harris: We’re not going back.
