Overland Park, Kansas

When Roe v. Wade was overturned, few would have predicted that Kansas would become an abortion stronghold. But just weeks after the decision, Kansans rejected a constitutional amendment that would have given voters the right to provide legal protection to unborn children.

That's the bad news. The good news is that the Sunflower State boasts two of the world's strongest 40 Days for Life campaigns.

Matt Britton and April Wood from the 40 Days for Life Institute of Law & Justice recently spoke to dozens of prayer warriors at the Overland Park campaign launch event. "Great kickoff," Matt said. "Right next to Planned Parenthood Great Plains."

If voters won't save babies from abortion, peaceful prayer will.

Connecticut

Community outreach is an essential component to grow this movement and build momentum...

...which is why 40 Days for Life leader Barbara spent Saturday at the Connecticut Catholic Men's Conference.

"I manned the 40 Days for Life table to raise awareness and encourage people to sign up for one of the many 40 Days for Life campaigns that we have in Connecticut," she said.

Barbara connected with old friends and made new ones--and made progress filling vigil calendars throughout the state!

But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John. … He will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb, and he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God."
