We're less than a month out from the General Election.
Friend –
We're less than a month out from the General Election on Tuesday, November 5. Have you made a plan to vote?
We need to show up at the ballot box to protect our rights and freedoms. There are many options to ensure that your ballot is counted, including absentee voting, early in-person voting, and in-person on Election Day.
Absentee voting
* By mail: Mail absentee ballots from home, the post office, or any US Postal Service collection box. Send early to make sure it's postmarked by Tuesday, November 5.
* Drop off: Drop absentee ballot at any Division of Elections office or voting location on or before Tuesday, November 5.
* Fax: Voting by fax is only allowed if you requested an absentee ballot to be faxed or emailed to you. The deadline to vote by fax is Tuesday, November 5, at 8 p.m. Note: this waives your right to a secret ballot. Mail or drop-off options are also allowed.
Early in-person
* Early in-person voting begins Monday, October 21. For early voting locations, please see the Division of Elections website. <[link removed]>
In-person on Election Day
* Election Day is Tuesday, November 5. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Also, have you checked in with friends, family, and neighbors to see if they need help voting? We're encouraging "voting buddies" to make sure that every eligible voter gets to out vote and feels empowered with others to vote for your rights. Print off this document and share it with friends and family to make sure they are voting! <[link removed]>
More voting information can be found at the Alaska Division of Elections. <[link removed]> Let us know if you need help making a plan to vote!
