Email from 40 Days for Life The abortion industry looks to capitalize on tragedy John, Many of those suffering in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton need shelter. They need bottled water. They need hope. Planned Parenthood is on the scene...to sell them abortions. Apparently, the hundreds of Americans killed by the storms aren't enough. Planned Parenthood has been shamelessly and bizarrely fundraising off Helene to pay for abortions. Donations that should be going to help rebuild lives are instead being directed to end lives. You can always count on the abortion industry to capitalize on a catastrophe. From September 11 to natural disasters to the COVID pandemic, Planned Parenthood routinely pitches abortion as the solution. And Planned Parenthood isn't alone. When asked about "the best way that people can help out" in the wake of Hurricane Helene, a Carolina Abortion Fund board member pitched the organization's "40 Days for CAF" fundraising campaign, which she said is designed "to counter 40 Days for Life." 40 Days for Life volunteers throughout the afflicted regions aren't looking to profit off of their neighbors' suffering. They're selflessly empowering women and families in crisis. Tampa, Florida Florida's Gulf Coast took a direct hit from Hurricane Milton. But while life hasn't returned to normal yet, saving lives has. Patty spoke with an abortion-bound woman heading in to her appointment. An hour later, the pregnant woman came out and announced she didn't go through with the abortion! The joyful news was a big consolation amid a very difficult autumn. "We had a save in Tampa today!" wrote Jill, the local 40 Days for Life leader. "Thanks be to God!" Chapel Hill, North Carolina Chapel Hill missed the brunt of--but not all of--Helene's destruction, and the vigil has continued without interruption. A young couple pulled in to the local Planned Parenthood parking lot and stopped to talk with Susan, who gave them life-affirming information. The couple sat in their vehicle for an hour without getting out. When they finally left, they lowered the car window to announce that the presence of 40 Days for Life volunteers inspired them to keep their baby! "God does hear our prayers!" exclaimed Kathy, the campaign leader. "Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!" Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus. But when he saw how [strong] the wind was he became frightened; and, beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!" --Matthew 14:29-30 Thank you, Lord, for my doubt, which allows me to practice faith. Hear my prayer for expectant mothers. Give them the courage to walk in faith. Help them to see the nobility of their motherhood. Through the storms of life, keep them close to you and comfort them in the safety of your arms. Amen.
