Donald Trump, JD Vance, Elon Musk, all these billionaires that think they can buy our democracy — all they do is tell people who to be afraid of, Marvin. They’re scared of people coming with nothing but the shirt on their back and trying to start their American Dream. They’re scared of women who own their body and tell them, “No.” They’re scared of gay people, lesbians, and trans people. They’re scared of New York City and “childless cat ladies.” They’re chickensh*t. To me, being an American is about being courageous. While they run around and try to make everybody else as scared as they are, what we must do is say: We have nothing to fear. There is nothing to fear in moving forward into a better future.
