ARLINGTON CHAMBER ANNOUNCES 2025 PUBLIC POLICY POSITIONS

On November 22, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce adopted its 2025 Policy Positions. The policy positions contain both legislative priorities for the Virginia General Assembly’s 2025 session, and priorities within the purview of Arlington County’s government. The Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee produced the first draft of the Policy Positions, with staff assistance, at their annual work session. Following completion of the draft, the Policy Positions were reviewed by the Executive Committee and recommended to the Board. This year’s Policy Positions have been reformatted be more concise and readable. Additionally, we have combined our priorities for both Arlington County and the Virginia General Assembly into a single document. 

In these documents, the Chamber advocates for Arlington and Virginia to build strong partnerships between government and the business community, continue to prioritize economic development by supporting businesses of all sizes, tackle the challenge of high commercial vacancy, support businesses struggling with rising inflation and costs of living, expand efforts to increase the supply of housing, and sustain a robust public infrastructure.
