Hey John, it’s Mark Kelly.

As you know, I’m not afraid to tell you the truth, even when it’s tough.

And there’s no doubt about it — these next few years are going to be tough. Each of us is going to need to evaluate our efforts and our impact as we move ahead

But I also know this: When we work together, we can do tough things. And as much as any one of us can do on our own, we can accomplish so much more as a team.

This team helped me win my first Senate campaign. We rallied and won a second time so I could serve a full term in the Senate. Over the last two years we supported good candidates in tough races around the country, and even though things didn’t go as well as we’d hoped, we did notch several critically important wins.

I know that as we look to the challenges ahead of us, this team is going to have an important role to play.

If Gabby has taught me one thing, it is that we don’t get to quit just because things get tough. I will not be going anywhere, and I hope I can count on you to stick with me.

Thanks so much for what you’ve already done, and thanks in advance for what we’ll do together in the years to come.
