Friend,
I had the pleasure of kicking off my holiday season with a hopping Friday night full of holiday cheer in Detroit this past weekend!
First up, I stopped by Hob Nobble Gobble – the annual fundraiser that supports Detroit’s Thanksgiving parade.
Our parade is the second oldest in the country, alongside that ‘other’ parade in NYC — so it’s great to see so many people support such a cherished Detroit tradition. Plus, we got to see some of the parade balloons, and my favorite...
...the biggest shrimp tower I’ve ever seen!
Then, it was time for another Detroit tradition — the lighting of the downtown Christmas tree in Campus Martius.
It was an explosion of amazing lights, figure skaters, and community members out celebrating.
Happy holidays, friends. I hope you’re entering the season in good health, surrounded by family and friends.
Wishing you and yours the best,
Elissa Slotkin
