*Minnesota Home Energy Training Centers*

The Minnesota Department of Commerce (“Commerce”) seeks proposals for the creation and development of the Minnesota Home Energy Training Centers (“MHETC”), a training entity to provide training, administration, and services to the Weatherization Assistance Program (“WAP”) and home energy industry professionals.

Goals of the project are:


* To create the MHETC, an entity that will train and certify personnel in the residential energy efficiency sector, including workers in the Weatherization Assistance Program, utility programs, or other home energy careers.  
* To employ or contract Minnesota-based trainers to provide state-specific training.  
* To centralize training administration, including registration, curriculum management, and credential tracking.  
* To ensure sustainability and stability of the MHETC by empowering the awardee to seek outside funding sources and other home performance, home energy, and health and safety training opportunities.  
* Expand awareness of and access to training for Weatherization, with at least two regional training and testing locations in Minnesota to reduce regional travel barriers for students.

Proposals are due by the January 17, 2025 *January 24, 2025* at 5:00 PM CDT.* Late proposals will not be considered.*

This request does not obligate the State to complete the work contemplated in this notice. The State reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. All expenses incurred in responding to this notice are solely the responsibility of the Responder.
