Now that Republicans control the White House, U.S. House, and Senate, so many critical policies are on the line.

As a doctor, here’s what I’m most concerned about:

Reproductive rights: The future of abortion rights is more uncertain than ever. As a doctor, I know these deeply personal decisions should be made by a woman and her doctor — not by politicians.

Access to healthcare: Donald Trump campaigned on dismantling the Affordable Care Act. As a physician, I saw firsthand the benefits of expanded healthcare coverage. Losing this progress would be devastating for millions.

Anti-science leadership: President-elect Trump is filling his cabinet with anti-science extremists, like RFK Jr., who spread dangerous vaccine conspiracies and climate change deniers who jeopardize our planet’s future.

I won’t sugarcoat it, folks — these are scary prospects. But here’s the good news: we can fight back.

Together, we can stop the worst GOP policies from becoming law and defend the values that matter most to New Jerseyans.
