Dear John,

Happy Thanksgiving! I wish you and your loved ones a very peaceful day of gratitude--and if your "loved ones" include your weird, conservative uncle who loves to pick a fight... well, then I'm also wishing you the strength to shut it down and stand up for your community... especially this year.

This holiday is an odd one. For many of us, it's a day for families to come together... only to realize just how far apart we really are. And after an election like the one we just had, that divide is seemingly astronomical.

While many of us are devastated about losing our rights to bodily autonomy, others are finding joy in our misery. But please rest assured that we're not going to stop fighting until we win. Our work isn't done.

Going forward, we're focused on:
• Reinforcing a right to bodily autonomy in cities, states, and nationally where no state or federal law can supersede or interfere with that right.
• Doubling down in the fight for our democracy with vital court and voting reform, and other legislation key to realizing abortion justice.
• Removing all restrictions on abortion care, including bans on insurance coverage for abortion care.
• Building spaces for our community to come together, find joy, and build power.

We will not stop until we build a future where abortion is affordable, available, and accessible to all.
