Dear John,
I hope you are doing as well as can be. I want to acknowledge that the results of the election are hitting incredibly hard for all of us and our loved ones right now, and will continue to. This outcome is such a heavy thing to hold, and I know it brings up a multitude of feelings, thoughts, worries, and uncertainties for the future and for what it will take to continue to fight back. I hope you're able to make space to feel and connect with others as often as you need over the coming weeks.
The next few years will not be easy, but we have an opportunity to build and lean into community more than we ever have before to create the kind of safety, care, and joy that we all deserve. We will get through this together, and trust that Equality Virginia will never stop fighting alongside you.
The next step in that fight is the 2025 Virginia General Assembly session, beginning on Wednesday, January 8th. It will be here before we know it, and so I want to share information about how to sign up for our 2025 Pride at the Capitol: LGBTQ+ Lobby Days this year!
We will be hosting three lobby days - one of which will be virtual - between January and February. Please see below for more information and the links to register! |
