.Dear Friend,
During this Thanksgiving week I hope you’ll join me in counting the blessings in your own life and giving thanks to God. As Abraham Lincoln said in his proclamation to establish the Day of Thanksgiving and Praise in 1864, “We are prone to forget the source from which [our blessings] come.”
Among my greatest blessings are my family, the great state of Kansas, the men and women in uniform who defend freedom at home and abroad, the Kansans who sacrifice their own holidays to keep our hospitals and other critical places open, and the many wonderful folks in this District whom I have the honor of representing in our nation’s capital.
I pray that during this Thanksgiving holiday, you find yourself surrounded by those you love and that you can pause to give thanks to God for His many blessings.
