As Thanksgiving draws near, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the blessings we’ve experienced and the resilience we’ve shown. This year has brought its challenges, yet it has also reminded us of the strength we have as a community united by shared values and purpose.

The holiday season is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity to recommit ourselves to the work ahead. While the election cycle has tested us, it has also offered moments of triumph and hope. Together, we have laid the groundwork for progress, and there’s still more to be done.

As we gather with loved ones this week, let’s give thanks for the victories we’ve achieved, the lessons we’ve learned, and the community we continue to build. May your Thanksgiving be filled with joy, gratitude, and hope for the year ahead.

The OCYRs are committed to building a culture of political and civic engagement, especially in this election year. OCYR Engage is our civic engagement program designed to encourage civic participation through attending public meetings and driving the public discourse through Op-eds and Letters to the Editor.

If we want to make an impact in our country, state, and community, it's critical that we understand how our civic government works and that we support the Republican movement in and out of elections.
