This Thanksgiving, I wanted to take a moment to express how thankful I am to you.

We may have had a disappointing election year nationwide, but thanks to the support of people like you – there is no doubt that we came out on top in New Mexico.

Thanks to you, more than two-thirds of New Mexico’s eligible voters cast their ballots in the election as we successfully kept all three of our House seats blue and reelected my friend and colleague Sen. Martin Heinrich.

Thanks to you, we showed that our great state is ready to move forward – and we stood strong against the dangerous national wave of extremism that threatens our freedoms and the well-being of our families.

Despite everything else that Democrats lost in this election – we WON in New Mexico thanks to you.

This Thanksgiving, that’s why I’m so thankful to supporters like you who have made it possible for our fight for progress to continue in New Mexico – even in the face of another Donald Trump presidency.

I know the road ahead isn’t going to be easy, but with you on this team, we WILL defend democracy and progress in the face of any threat in the months and years ahead.

For now, I sincerely hope you can find a moment to set politics aside and enjoy the holiday with your loved ones. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
