Hi — As we approach Giving Tuesday, the support of individual donors has never been more urgent. Let me explain why:

In Sudan, 10 million people have been driven from their homes due to devastating violence and then flooding. Amid these crises, an official famine was even declared as millions face extreme hunger.

UNFPA has been on the ground in Sudan long before this displacement crisis began, and has been responding to the growing needs ever since.

We’re operating mobile health teams, specially equipped to care for survivors of rampant sexual violence. We’ve set up six temporary health clinics to provide displaced people with essential services. We’re even distributing supplies, including close to 42,000 Dignity Kits, to support women and girls navigating the humanitarian crisis.

But services like these are at risk. If the U.S. government cuts funding for UNFPA, just as it did during the last Trump administration, it would have devastating impacts on women and girls in Sudan.

Without continued support, over 570,000 people across Sudan will face reduced access to critical violence prevention, response, and sexual and reproductive health services. Any reduction will lead to increased vulnerability, reduced access to health care, and heightened risks for survivors of violence.

In order to ensure our critical care in the world’s largest displacement crisis goes uninterrupted, we need individual donors like you to step up. There’s no better time to make an impact, with generous donors matching up to $200,000 this Giving Season.

So, will you make a 2X-matched gift to deliver lifesaving care to women and girls who are displaced, hungry, and at risk in Sudan and wherever it’s needed most? [[link removed]?]

Thank you for being there for women and girls in this crucial moment.

Sincerely,
