‌Johh,

Last month, like so many of you, I sat with my heart in my throat as the election results came in. The results were not what we hoped for — far from it. But here’s the thing: our democracy is stronger than any one man, and it’s strong because we fight for it. Now is the time to stand up, dust ourselves off, and get back to work. My commitment to the people of Colorado’s First District doesn’t change with who’s in the Oval Office. I’ve sworn an oath to uphold our Constitution and fight for the people I serve, and I will do exactly that.

The challenges we face are enormous and I want to talk to you about what the future holds. I need your help to make sure we are ready to face whatever 2025 brings. Add your name to recommit yourself to our team and get updates about our program. >> [link removed]

Donald Trump is already filling his cabinet, and once again, qualifications are nowhere on his radar. Instead, he’s handing out positions based on loyalty and how much someone flatters his ego.

He’s considering a Fox News personality, Pete Hegseth, as secretary of defense. He has also selected an anti-vaxxer, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to oversee public health and Dr. Mehmet Oz, a TV doctor who pushes pseudoscience, to lead the nation’s healthcare. These choices would be laughable if they weren’t so dangerous.

At the same time, Republicans in the House are gearing up to double down on their attacks on reproductive freedoms, from abortion to birth control to IVF. They’re plotting to roll back protections for our climate and push policies that will widen economic inequality.

This all sounds bleak – but we’ve faced uphill battles before. Republicans may have the majority, but they’ve also got a fractured party full of infighting. While they’re busy arguing with each other, I will focus on what really matters: fighting for the American people.

The challenges ahead require all of us to stay engaged and keep up the fight, and I need you with me.
