Merry Christmas folks!
Christmas Eve is here, and the time has come for all to cheer! I know that as Democrats we are having a hard time getting over the losses we suffered in the election, and that makes it harder to find reasons to cheer. Let me remind you that politics comes without guarantees. The best candidate does not always win. The important thing is how we respond to a loss. We win again by working hard with a positive mindset, adjusting strategies by learning from the past, staying focused on our priorities, listening to feedback and seeking winning solutions, planning ahead, making decisions based on accurate information, and inspiring and motivating our fellow Democrats to be winners.
Have a great Christmas, folks. Stay away from negativity and prioritize the positive in your lives. Know that Democrats stand for the true Christmas spirit: a sense of community and caring about our fellow Americans. It’s why we support public education, affordable health care, workers’ rights, veterans’ benefits, social justice, and so much more. Let’s choose to celebrate the season with real joy in our hearts knowing that Democrats are not going to give up. Then let’s have a great New Year’s Day feeling optimistic about our ability to get back on our feet, lock arms, and choose the path to victory.
Happy holidays, everyone!
Sincerely,
Rita Hart
