Britt named to Senate Judiciary Committee
<[link removed]>
Sen. Katie Britt has added a fourth feather to her senatorial hat.
Britt, already a member of the Senate Appropriations, Banking, and Rules
committees, will serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee in the 119th Congress.
The Judiciary Committee evaluates all judicial nominations for the federal
judiciary, including the Supreme Court, and has broad jurisdiction over several
legislative areas—including immigration and issues related to our Constitution.
“I am proud my Republican colleagues selected me to serve on the Senate
Judiciary Committee and am honored to have the opportunity to serve under the
leadership of incoming Chairman Chuck Grassley,” Britt said in a statement. “I
will work tirelessly to bring Alabama’s conservative values to the forefront of
the committee’s decisions, especially when evaluating nominees for the federal
judiciary and safeguarding the God-given rights and individual liberties
protected by the U.S. Constitution.”

U.S. Senator Katie Britt secures more than $1 billion for Alabama’s military
installations, families in 2025 NDAA
<[link removed]>
U.S. Senator Katie Britt hailed the passage of the Fiscal Year 2025 National
Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), passed late last week as lawmakers depart
Washington for the Christmas holiday.
Britt and top lawmakers are celebrating provisions that deepen Alabama’s role
as a cornerstone of America’s defense infrastructure while delivering historic
support for servicemembers and their families. Sen. Britt personally advocated
for and secured key funding and provisions benefiting Alabama’s military
installations, defense industry, and the men and women of the Armed Forces.
“The FY25 NDAA ensures the Yellowhammer State remains at the forefront of
America’s defenses while modernizing our military’s cutting-edge capabilities
and assets, so our warfighters remain the best equipped, trained, and prepared
in the world,” Sen. Britt said after its passage.

Britt votes to support Alabama farmers and President Trump
<[link removed]>
U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-AL) has announced that she has voted in support of
the American Relief Act of 2025, legislation that would continue funding the
government through March of 2025 amidst a potential shutdown as well as provide
critical assistance for Alabama’s family farmers.
“The American people overwhelmingly chose President Trump to get America back
on track, and it is vital Congress support him. Keeping the government open
through March 14 will give the Trump Administration the opportunity to shape
funding for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2025 when Republicans are in control
of both chambers of Congress. This will allow us to better reign in wasteful
spending while prioritizing the needs of hardworking Americans,” continued the
Senator.
“The American Relief Act will also ensure our brave border patrol agents and
service members aren’t worried about missing a paycheck this Christmas season.
I look forward to Congress finally getting back to regular order so we can end
CRs and omnibuses while avoiding these chaotic moments of political
brinksmanship moving forward.”
