As we close out 2024, I've been thinking a lot about what we've accomplished together and the battles we still face.

When I was first elected in 2018, I promised to be “unbought and unbossed,” like Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to Congress. Six years later, I'm proud to say I've kept that promise, working hard to lower health care costs, pass key legislation like my Momnibus Act, and tackle issues like the gun violence epidemic and climate change.

But with Republicans holding the House and Senate majority, the fight has become even tougher. We're up against extremism every day, and backing down is not an option. MAGA extremists are committed to rolling back progress and pushing an agenda that doesn't serve Illinoisans’ needs.

To stay in this fight, we need your support. We're $5,298 away from our end-of-year fundraising goal, and every dollar helps us push back against extremism and stand up for the values we believe in.
