Hi John, 

It's Tyler, Executive Director of the Iowa Senate Dems, and I wanted to reach out before the New Year to remind you of a couple of things.

First: The appointment of State Senator Chris Cournoyer to Lt. Governor has given Democrats an opportunity to flip her seat in an upcoming Special Election.

We're working hard to organize early and inform voters before the race, which is set for January. We can't let this opportunity pass us by.

Second: With Iowa's legislative session starting next month, our Democratic Senators will be fighting for a better deal by focusing on the issues that matter most to Iowans, like protecting people’s pocketbooks so they can get ahead, while also holding Republicans accountable for their bad bills. Having another Democrat in the State Senate would place more pressure on the Republican Supermajority and help us make progress. 

Third: Our last Fundraising Deadline of the Year is tonight. 

John, there's so much we can do to move Iowa forward, but it's going to take hard work and consistent effort. Can you help us start the New Year strong and help Democrats by chipping in today?
